Last night (New York time), Grand Seiko unveiled one of its first products of the year: the new SLGH027, a 40mm x 11.7mm Ever-Brilliant steel watch on a bracelet, powered by the brand’s 9SA5 high-beat 80-hour movement. The movement features the Grand Seiko Double Impulse escapement, the second production escapement to be made without a Swiss lever escapement, after the Co-Axial escapement. But in typical Grand Seiko fashion, the most intriguing aspect of this watch is the dial.
